Objective: Each student is to develop the brand and identity of her client and display a concept direction. The brand may be developed from scratch based on all of the previous research and work. The concepts should be appropriate, innovative and responsive to the brand developed for each client. Concepts should utilize the elements and principles of design that will be used and manifested throughout the spaces (Totten, Syllabus, 2013).

Studio 5: Programming
Objective: Each student is to address and develop space allocations and relationships based on all
of the components developed thus far for his/her particular facility and client. This should be presented on both a macro and micro level. The expected deliverable should be extremely detailed in regards to types of spaces, furniture, equipment, adjacency, and other appropriate criteria needed by the client. The format for all of this information needs to be considered as it relates to the overall project book and blog, which will be the final deliverables. Page size and orientation need to be consistent but also legible and easy to understand (Totten, Syllabus, 2013).
Introduction: The women’s rehabilitation center for sex trafficking victims will be located on what is currently called Hyde Farm in unincorporated Cobb County. The center will consist of three building types: the Tea Room, the Administrative Center and the Residences. This infographic will explore the programmatic problem and the proposed programming for each of the different building types, focusing on prototypicals for select spaces and Adjacency Diagrams that outline relationships and criteria for each of the buildings. Design Drivers and Goals are also considered as an important part of the design process.

Studio 5: Building Feasibility & Code Compliance Analysis
Objective:In the process of developing a workable building program, designers must understand
the constraints of the existing building. The overall volume available and code restrictions inherent in any existing construction will affect what can be achieved within a structure. It is important to understand this at the beginning in order not to waste time coming up with solutions that are infeasible or in violation of code. Students will carry out a building study as an extension of their site analysis in order to better inform their final space allocation charts and final programming.Tuesday, July 23, 2013
Studio 5: Building and Site Analysis
Objective: Both the building and specific site are vital elements to consider during the programming
phase of design. The location can significantly impact decisions when you are evaluating programmatic requirements, as well as the building’s orientation on its site. Existing building conditions also provide a constraint on programmatic requirements in regards to what the building selected will and won’t allow (Totten, Syllabus, 2013).

Studio 5: Project Proposal
skills learned throughout the undergraduate education. It is a design solution supported by appropriate and complex design inquiry. The Capstone Project is developed within a context of intentions, understanding goals, questions, and ideas. The Project Proposal must make these ideas clear. It must also set the plan for engaging those ideas through design. The project is to be of a significance intended for the advancement of the field of interior design. The analysis and refinement of concepts for the project is to be communicated by written, oral and graphic skills and demonstrated through application in the development of a design. The parameters of the Capstone Project proposed should be appropriate in size, complexity, and scope commensurate with design skills for BFA students. Possible facility types could include healthcare, hospitality, retail, museums, libraries, educational facilities, government/civic buildings, corporate offices, large-scale residential complexes, or mixed-use facilities. While the proposed project may be larger in area, the maximum square footage to be designed for this project is to be 12,500 sq. ft. Students must work within this parameter as well as identify and locate a building footprint appropriate for their project proposed (Totten, Syllabus, 2013).

Studio 5: Anlalysis Fundamentals
Objective: Analysis is much more than collecting facts and figures and regurgitating them. Analysis
is reading between the lines of those facts to identify themes, trends, similarities, differences, and
patterns. Analysis is the process of answering the questions, “Why? What have we learned by studying these objects?” Analysis is a fundamental and critical component necessary for success in Studio V. Most of what work is performed throughout this quarter will be analytical in nature. As designers, we must analyze our clients’ problems and opportunities in order to determine the path to an appropriate solution. More and more we, as design professionals, are being challenged to provide evidence of the appropriateness of our design solutions. Establishing strong analytical skills now will only strengthen your potential for success in the industry (Totten, Syllabus, 2013).
